# Getting started

Welcome. Use this guide to prepare your PC and complete your first launch.

### Before launching

Complete these steps before opening the Loader:

1. [Turn on VT-x or AMD SVM](/troubleshooting/turning-on-vt-x-amd-svm.md).
2. [Uninstall FACEIT Anti-Cheat and Riot Vanguard](/troubleshooting/uninstall-faceit-and-vanguard.md).
3. [Turn off Windows Defender](/troubleshooting/turn-off-windows-defender.md).
4. Check [product status](https://www.wicked.ws/status/) for known service issues.
5. Keep your license key private.
