# Uninstall FACEIT & Vanguard

Removing FACEIT Anti-Cheat and Riot Vanguard only takes a few minutes. Close their games and clients first.

### Uninstall FACEIT Anti-Cheat

#### Open installed apps

Press **Windows + I** to open **Settings**. Select **Apps → Installed apps**.

#### Remove FACEIT Anti-Cheat

Search for **FACEIT Anti-Cheat**. Select the **⋯** menu, then choose **Uninstall**.

Confirm the prompts and wait for the removal to finish.

### Uninstall Riot Vanguard

#### Find Riot Vanguard

Stay in **Settings → Apps → Installed apps**. Search for **Riot Vanguard**.

#### Remove Vanguard

Select the **⋯** menu next to **Riot Vanguard**, then choose **Uninstall**.

Confirm the prompts. Windows may ask for administrator approval.

### Restart your computer

Restart Windows after uninstalling both applications. This stops and removes any remaining anti-cheat services.

Removing Riot Vanguard prevents VALORANT from starting. Reinstall it through the Riot Client when needed.

### If an uninstall fails

Restart your computer and try again. If the application is not listed, reinstall it first. Then run its uninstaller from **Installed apps**.
